Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation is working on a bridge rehabilitation project at the US 93 Kabba Wash Bridge north of Wikieup in Mohave County.

This project, located near Breccia Drive (milepost 97), includes the removal and rehabilitation of the existing northbound bridge as well as the approach slabs, guardrail and pavement markings.

What to expect during construction

  • Northbound US 93 is reduced to one lane in the work zone. The restrictions are in place around the clock, seven days a week.
  • The speed limit is reduced in the work zone. ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
  • A 12-foot vehicle-width restriction is in place.

 

Project Schedule 

Construction started in May 2022, and is scheduled to finish in late 2023. 

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.

Rehabilitation work on US 93 Kabba Wash Bridge north of Wikieup continues through spring 2023

The Arizona Department of Transportation reminds drivers to plan for an ongoing lane restriction on US 93 north of Wikieup as work continues on the northbound Kabba Wash Bridge rehabilitation project in Mohave County. 

Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following lane restriction is in place:

  • Northbound US 93 is narrowed to one lane at the Kabba Wash Bridge (near milepost 97) around the clock through late 2022.
  • The restrictions are in place seven days a week.

Rehabilitation work includes widening the existing northbound bridge, replacing the existing bridge deck and approach slabs, guardrail work and installing new pavement markings.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the upcoming construction project on the Kabba Wash Bridge on US 93 north of Wikieup in Mohave County. Construction is scheduled to begin April 11.

Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following lane restriction is in place:

  • Northbound US 93 will be reduced to one lane at the Kabba Wash Bridge (near Breccia Drive at milepost 97) around the clock beginning Monday, April 11 through late 2023.
  • The restrictions will be in place seven days a week.
