The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead and anticipate delays as westbound I-10 will be closed between US 60 and 40th Street from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 to 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20 for a traffic shift.

A team of ADOT law enforcement officers has won a national honor for its efforts to make sure only eligible vehicles use tax-exempt diesel reserved for use off of state highways.

Drivers can consider using other nearby US 60 exits in Tempe while city construction along Rural Road requires lane restrictions. Motorists can exit US 60 at either Mill Avenue or McClintock Drive to avoid the city’s work zones on Rural Road near the freeway.
