The DBE Supportive Services staff works with local community partners to provide a variety of training and technical assistance to DBE and SBC (Small Business Concern) firms.

Business Counseling Program
The purpose of the business counseling program is designed to provide DBE firms with business specific training, education, and coaching to compete on federal aid projects within the heavy highway construction industry. These services are provided by highly skilled private sector consultants, and business experts. DBE firms will receive assistance at no charge in the following categories:

- Researching and Locating Bidding Opportunities
Financial
- Understanding Contracts, Davis Bacon Wages and OSHA Requirements
- Estimating and Bidding

Requirements
- Must be currently DBE Certified
- Must work within the heavy highway construction and professional services arena
- Participants must develop or revise a comprehensive business plan with our consultant team
Businesses will receive up to five hours of one-on-one assistance related to the conditions and circumstances of their firm and may qualify for more, on a case-by-case basis.
Note: DBE firms that fall under other categories outside of the industry will be accepted based on availability of funding.
