It’s that time of year again. 

Arizonans bid farewell to the last of the cooler weather and say hello to the scorching heat of the desert summer. In recognition of Heat Awareness Week (May 5-9), we want to encourage drivers to prepare their vehicles now for extreme heat conditions so they’re ready for the summer. 

With big things happening in the coming weeks and months, we've invited back Laura Douglas, ADOT's lead communicator on this project, to update us on the project widening I-17 and creating an innovative system of flex lanes between Anthem and Sunset Point.
