The Arizona Department of Transportation has kicked off a project to reconstruct and widen Interstate 10 between Kino Parkway and Country Club Road southeast of downtown Tucson.

ADOT has released the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Design Concept Report (DCR) for the Grand-35 study, which identifies ADOT’s recommended project to reconstruct the intersection of US 60 (Grand Avenue), 35th Avenue and Indian School Road. Issuance of the EA, along with a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), allows ADOT to move forward with project design, right-of-way acquisition and construction.

Overnight restrictions at Interstate 17 and Anthem Way and Daisy Mountain Drive scheduled July 13-18

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight closures and restrictions in north Phoenix as part of the Interstate 17 pavement project between State Route 74 and Anthem Way:

ANTHEM WAY 

  • Eastbound Anthem Way at I-17 will be narrowed to two through lanes nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday, July 13, and ending Friday morning, July 18.
    • Westbound Anthem Way at I-17 also will be narrowed to two through lanes from 9 p.m. Thursday, July 17, to 6 a.m. Friday, July 18. 
  • The westbound left-turn bay on Anthem Way at I-17 will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday, July 13, and ending Thursday morning, July 17. At the same time, the southbound I-17 on-ramp and the northbound I-17 off-ramp at Anthem Way will be narrowed to one lane.

DAISY MOUNTAIN DRIVE

  • Westbound Daisy Mountain Drive at I-17 will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday, July 13, and ending Friday morning, July 18. At the same time, the northbound I-17 on-ramp and the southbound I-17 off-ramp at Daisy Mountain Drive will be narrowed to one lane.
  • The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Daisy Mountain Drive will be narrowed to three lanes nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday, July 13, and ending Friday morning, July 18.
