I-17 lane restrictions, ramp closures at Anthem Way and Daisy Mountain Drive scheduled Sept. 21-28

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight closures and restrictions in north Phoenix as part of the Interstate 17 pavement project between State Route 74 and Anthem Way:

NORTHBOUND I-17

  • Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes in areas between SR 74/Carefree Highway and Anthem Way nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, and ending Sunday morning, Sept. 28.

SOUTHBOUND I-17 

  • Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes for approximately one mile at Anthem Way nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24, and ending Friday morning, Sept. 26.

ANTHEM WAY

  • The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Anthem Way will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 23, and ending Thursday morning, Sept. 25.
    • Detour: Drivers may use eastbound Daisy Mountain Drive to northbound Gavilan Peak Parkway to access Anthem Way.
  • The southbound I-17 on-ramp at Anthem Way will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Thursday, Sept. 25, and ending Sunday morning, Sept. 28.
    • Detour: Drivers may use eastbound Anthem Way to southbound Gavilan Parkway to westbound Daisy Mountain Drive to access I-17.

DAISY MOUNTAIN DRIVE 

  • The northbound I-17 on- and off-ramps at Daisy Mountain Drive will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, and ending Tuesday morning, Sept. 23.
    • On-ramp detour: Drivers may use eastbound Daisy Mountain Drive to Gavilan Peak Parkway to westbound Anthem Way to access I-17.
    • Off-ramp detour: Drivers may use eastbound Pioneer Road to northbound Gavilan Peak Parkway to westbound Daisy Mountain Drive to access I-17.
  • Eastbound Daisy Mountain Drive at I-17 will be narrowed to two through lanes nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, and ending Thursday morning, Sept. 25
    • Note: Left turns onto the northbound I-17 on-ramp will remain open except during the on-ramp closure times listed above.
  • Westbound Daisy Mountain Drive at I-17 will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, and ending Thursday morning, Sept. 25.
    • The southbound I-17 on-ramp at Daisy Mountain Drive will have lane restrictions at the intersection.
  • The southbound I-17 off-ramp at Daisy Mountain Drive will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Thursday, Sept. 25, and ending Sunday morning, Sept. 28.
    • Detour: Drivers can use eastbound Anthem Way to southbound Gavilan Peak Parkway to access Daisy Mountain Drive.
