Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in coordination with the City of San Luis, advises commercial truck drivers to plan ahead for a temporary detour that will be in effect for approximately one month in San Luis.

The following restriction will be in place beginning Wednesday, June 10, through late July 2026:

  • Commercial truck traffic will not be permitted to make right or left turns from Cesar Chavez Boulevard (State Route 195) onto Avenue F or 10th Avenue.

DETOUR: Commercial truck traffic only will be directed to turn on either Avenue E or 8th Avenue. Signage will be provided in the area.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction and law enforcement personnel and equipment.
