The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for lane restrictions on State Route 77 as it crosses over the Little Colorado River (milepost 388) into downtown Holbrook as work is scheduled to begin on a bridge rehabilitation project Wednesday, April 15.

Drivers should expect delays while the following restrictions are in place throughout the duration of the project:

  • SR 77 will have lane restrictions 24/7 at the Little Colorado River Bridge. One lane will be open in each direction at all times.

  • Drivers need to be prepared to slow down, expect frequent stops and plan for delays while moving through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.

  • Traffic control will include the railroad crossing that will be controlled by on-site railroad flaggers.

Work on the project will include milling and repairing the existing bridge deck and deck joints as well as repaving SR 77 from the north side of the bridge to Joy Nevin Avenue and 200 feet south of the bridge.
