The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead and expect delays as westbound I-10 will be closed between SR 143 and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, to 4 a.m. Monday

Eastbound Loop 101 ramps to I-17 scheduled to be closed June 20-21
Loop 101 lane restrictions between Union Hills Drive and 71st Avenue, and closure of 51st Avenue Loop 101 also planned June 20-21

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions as part of the Loop 101 widening project between 75th Avenue and I-17.

The eastbound Loop 101 ramps to north- and southbound I-17 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, June 20, to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 21.
- DETOUR TO NORTHBOUND I-17: Loop 101 drivers may exit at 35th Avenue to Deer Valley to access northbound I-17.
- DETOUR TO SOUTHBOUND I-17: Loop 101 drivers may exit at 35th Avenue to Union Hills Drive to access southbound I-17.
Loop 101 will be reduced to two lanes in both directions between Union Hills Drive and just west of 67th Avenue from 11 p.m. Friday, June 20, to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 21.
51st Avenue will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 11 p.m. Friday, June 20, to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

LONG-TERM RAMP CLOSURES

Westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 35th Avenue closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m., Monday, May 12.

DETOUR: Drivers may use on-ramps at 27th or 51st avenues to access westbound Loop 101.

Westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 51st Avenue closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m., Monday, May 19.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 59th Avenue, then travel south to eastbound Union Hills Drive to reach 51st Avenue.

Eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 59th Avenue will be closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m., Monday, May 19.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider using eastbound Union Hills Drive to 51st Avenue to access eastbound Loop 101

ONGOING RESTRICTIONS

Lane restrictions are ongoing at the following locations for bridge work and frontage road improvements.

At the 51st and 35th avenue interchanges:

All on- and off-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
The left-turn lane for both east- and westbound on-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
51st and 35th avenues will be narrowed to one lane under Loop 101

At the 31st Avenue interchange:

The 31st Avenue shoulders will be closed under Loop 101. Pedestrian access is still available.

Frontage roads:

Much of the work on the frontage roads was completed in March 2025. Short-term periodic restrictions on the frontage roads may be needed in the future.
