Overview

The Town of Quartzsite, in collaboration with the Arizona Department of Transportation, has initiated design improvements for the West Quartzsite Traffic Interchange at milepost 17, in the Town of Quartzsite.

Project Elements

  • Widen Quartzsite Boulevard
  • Replace the bridge structure over I-10
  • Widen and reconstruct freeway ramps and ramp intersections
  • Widen and reconstruct the Dome Rock Road and Kuehn Street intersection and approaches
  • Evaluate traffic control signalization at Main Street, Dome Rock Road, Kuehn Street and ramp intersections 
  • Install new street lighting
  • Construct sidewalks for pedestrians

Project Schedule

The project is in the Stage III (60%) design phase with completion anticipated summer 2026.

A public meeting was held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Quartzsite Improvement Association.
