The nation's birthday is a great time to reflect on Arizonans serving the community. Last year, more than 5,900 volunteers assembled to bag litter along adopted miles of state highways. 

Each week, ADOT showcases a specialty plate on our social media platforms with the goal of drawing attention to the worthy cause or charity featured on that particular plate. 

This month, the focus was squarely on children and education.

This week is National Tire Safety Week. Here at ADOT, we’ve got some tips for keeping your tires in tip top shape, making sure you and others around you are safe.

ADOT’s 2024-2028 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program, approved recently by the State Transportation Board, adds to projects repairing damaged surface pavement after the record-setting winter.

With pollinating insect populations like bees and Monarch butterflies declining, ADOT is establishing and conserving pollinator habitats along its rights of way.

People litter when they throw their garbage somewhere instead of putting it in a trash can. Sometimes people litter when they don’t care about the place where they’re throwing their trash, or when they think someone else will come and clean up after them. 

Between the hot temperatures, dust storms and monsoon, Arizona’s summer weather creates the perfect storm for dangerous driving conditions each year (pun intended).
