This project is complete

The Arizona Department of Transportation completed this project in June 2023. The project installed a high-speed fiber optic backbone along Interstate 17 from Van Buren Avenue to Anthem Way, connecting existing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices with new ITS improvements. This system connects Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) that provide drivers with real-time, traffic-related information, ramp metering and CCTV cameras along the corridor.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project to repair the pavement on Interstate 17 from Dunlap Road to Deer Valley Road. The purpose of the project was to extend the life of the pavement and to improve safety and the driving experience on the existing roadway.
