The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Navajo Nation, has initiated a pavement project along US 160 in far northeast Arizona. The 24-mile-long project is roughly between the communities of Dennehotso and Mexican Water. 

This project is currently shut down for the winter. Work will resume summer 2026.

This project is complete

The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project on Interstate 19 near the Canoa Ranch rest areas between milepost 30 and 35. This project installed weigh-in-motion systems and replaced the existing system controllers.

The Arizona Department of Transportation in partnership with the city of Casa Grande will begin a project in early 2026 to install a traffic signal at Centennial Boulevard and Pinal Avenue (SR 387). Additional improvements will feature: curb ramps for pedestrian accessibility, a right-turn lane for southbound to westbound traffic, and other related items.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers there are no lane restrictions or road closures planned on US 60 east of Superior, between mileposts 227-243, from Feb. 2-6.

Upcoming full closures:

  • US 60 between Superior and Miami is tentatively scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, Wednesday, Feb. 11, and Thursday, Feb. 12. Detour in place during closures.
