“Jeopardy!,” in its current iteration, has been on the air continuously since September 10, 1984. That includes close to 10,000 episodes spanning five decades.

So it came as a surprise to us over here at ADOT that our state highways were referenced not once, but TWICE in a few months.

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed at milepost 354 past Willcox, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The closure is due to a crash. There is no estimated reopening time.

After extensive study and public input on the feasibility of reopening 5 miles of Apache Trail severely damaged by flooding and erosion, the ADOT is recommending improvements estimated to cost $33.7

AZ511, the ultimate travel companion for Arizona motorists, just got even better. 

People have become accustomed to using the AZ511 website and app to get information on traffic, construction delays, closures, restrictions and freeway cameras.

Now they can get weather information in 21 areas across the state.

A recent survey of MVD customers found that 76.2% of respondents consider AZMVDNOW.gov ”extremely easy” to use. That’s up from 71% in a March survey. 

With more projects continuing, ADOT has completed critical pavement repairs on more than 300 miles of state highways since this effort began in June.
