Safety, innovation and collaboration are the three main priorities I have as the director for the Arizona Department of Transportation. Our 2024-2028 Tentative Five-Year Construction Program addresses these priorities as we work to improve and maintain the state’s highway system during the next five years.

US 93: Tegner Street - Wickenburg Ranch Way

The Arizona Department of Transportation initiated and completed a construction project to widen and improve a 5-mile segment of US 93 between Tegner Street and Wickenburg Ranch Way (mileposts 194 - 199) in Wickenburg.

Adopt a Highway: Trashed tires litter roadways

The Arizona Department of Transportation receives hundreds of complaints about littered highways and more specifically, tire debris.

ADOT maintenance costs to remove and dispose of tire waste from along maintained roadways have already exceeded $900,000 since July 2022. And that is separate from general litter maintenance operations.
