The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead and expect delays as westbound I-10 will be closed between SR 143 and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, to 4 a.m. Monday

Though it’s no longer open to cars, the Walnut Canyon Bridge near Flagstaff has been standing for 100 years.

  • The westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 67th Avenue and off-ramp at 75th Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Sunday, June 14, and ending Tuesday morning, June 16. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 67th Avenue and the on-ramp at 75th Avenue.
       
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at 75th Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Wednesday, June 17, and ending Friday morning, June 19. 
    • Eastbound Loop 101 also will be narrowed to two lanes in the area.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using the eastbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at 67th Avenue.
       
  • 35th Avenue will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Wednesday, June 17, and ending Friday morning, June 19. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using the east- and westbound frontage road (Beardsley Road) to navigate around the closure.
       

Upcoming restrictions and closures

  • The westbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 35th Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 19, to 5 a.m. Saturday, June 20. 
    • Westbound Loop 101 also will be narrowed to two lanes between 35th and 51st avenues.
    • The eastbound frontage road also will be narrowed to one lane between 51st and 35th avenues.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 67th Avenue and the off-ramp at 75th Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Sunday, June 21, and ending Tuesday morning, June 23. 
     

UPDATED: Ongoing lane restrictions

  • UPDATED: 75th Avenue will now continue to be narrowed to one through lane in each direction between Loop 101 and Aspera Drive through July 3. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using 67th or 83rd avenues to access 75th Avenue via Deer Valley Road or Union Hills Drive.
       
  • UPDATED: The east- and westbound Loop 101 high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes will be closed between 31st and 51st avenues through July 3.
     
  • The eastbound Loop 101 frontage road is reduced to one lane between 37th and 35th avenues through late June.
