Some people have reported receiving a text message including an ADOT Motor Vehicle Division logo and demanding payment for an outstanding traffic citation. This is a scam.  It has no connection to ADOT and should be ignored.

Westbound Loop 303 nightly closures scheduled Oct. 5-9

• Westbound Loop 303 will be closed nightly between I-17 and 43rd Avenue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 5, ending Friday morning, Oct. 9. 
  • DETOUR FOR NORTHBOUND I-17 DRIVERS: Drivers may use the northbound I-17 frontage road to westbound Dove Valley Road to southbound 43rd Avenue to access Loop 303.
  • DETOUR FOR SOUTHBOUND

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

If Congress does not extend the exemption expiration date, owners of alternative fuel vehicles and vehicles with Energy Efficient plates

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed in Tempe.

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.

Closures scheduled to resume mid-October

The Arizona Department of Transportation advised drivers that there are no planned road closures on US 60 between Superior and Miami (mileposts 227-243) until mid-October.

• ADOT will send an alert when the next full closures have been scheduled.

Closures set for for multiple freeways

PHOENIX – Closures are scheduled along freeways and ramps this weekend (Oct. 2-5) for improvement projects in the Phoenix area, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use detour routes as needed for these weekend freeway restrictions:

• Westbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) closed between 51st

• Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th and 51st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Union Hills Drive and Bell Road also will be closed.
  • DETOUR: Drivers may consider using eastbound Union Hills Drive to 51st or 35th avenues to connect with eastbound Loop 101.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 southwest of Kingman to expect daytime lane restrictions beginning Tuesday, May 28, through the end of October as crews replace the top pavement surface on a 14-mile segment of the interstate.
