2024 EV Infrastructure Plan Update
2024 ADOT National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan Update received approval from the Federal Highway Administration and the Joint Office on December 3, 2024. The update expands the state’s EV charging network by adding nine new alternative fuel corridors (AFC) on state highways with 17 proposed (new/upgraded) stations. The Plan also includes updates to the utilities assigned to EV charging stations. The newly approved alternative fuel corridors and proposed locations are included below.
- US 60: Wickenburg to Phoenix
- US 60: Phoenix to Globe
- US 60: Show Low to New Mexico
- US 93: Wickenburg to I-40
- US 95: Quartzsite to San Luis
- US 160: US 89 to Four Corners
- SR 68: US 93 to Bullhead City
- SR 80: Bisbee to Douglas
- SR 90: I-10 to Bisbee
To share progress and gather input on the 2024 Plan, ADOT hosted a statewide virtual public meeting on July 10, 2024. The meeting was attended by 264 people and consisted of a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session between the public and a panel of technical and public engagement staff working on the Plan. ADOT provided live interpretation in Spanish and in Diné (Navajo).
