The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Hopi Tribe, has completed the State Route 264 Corridor Planning Study. 

The purpose of the corridor study was to identify improvements that need to be made along 96 miles of SR 264 from Moenkopi to the Navajo-Apache County line (mileposts 322-418). The study makes short- and long-term recommendations to improve the highway by:

Prepare for delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Battaglia Drive in Arizona City to expect overnight lane restrictions beginning Monday, Feb. 9, through Thursday, May 7, as a shoulder widening project gets underway.

The following restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday:

Expect 24/7 lane restrictions for bridge rehabilitation

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on north- and southbound Interstate 19 at the Western Avenue/Target Range Road overpass in Nogales to expect 24/7 lane restrictions as work on bridge rehabilitation projects are scheduled to begin Sunday, Feb. 8, through Friday, June 5.

Motorists can expect the following

  • UPDATED: Chandler Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between I-10 and just west of 51st Street beginning from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 6.
     
  • Fifth Place will be closed between Moreland and Portland streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, beginning Monday, Feb. 9, ending Wednesday, Feb. 11

RESTRICTIONS Jan. 26-March 3

  • Northbound SR 87 will be narrowed to two lanes between the Western Canal and Guadalupe Road beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 3.
    • Driveways and cross street closures will be required as work progresses. ADOT will provide advance notice of these once they are scheduled.
