The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime alternating lane restrictions on State Route 86 in Pima County from Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16, for the placement of traffic signs and striping.

The following lane restrictions will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.:

  • Intermittent lane closures on east- and westbound SR 86 between mileposts 80 and 90 are

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

If Congress does not extend the exemption expiration date, owners of alternative fuel vehicles and vehicles with Energy Efficient plates

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight lane restrictions on State Route (SR) 347 for pavement maintenance work.

  • SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions at Mammoth Way (also known as Cement Plant Road) and the Gila River Bridge during the following dates/times:
    • 8 p.m. Friday March 28, to 7 a.m. Saturday, March 29

Drivers should plan for daytime restrictions and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah beginning Sunday, May 4, for milling and paving. 

The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, May 4, and ending the morning of Friday, May 9:

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Western Arizona Council of Governments and Mohave County, advises motorists to plan for ongoing daytime lane restrictions and brief travel delays on Northern Avenue between Stockton Hill and Castle Rock roads, as work gets underway on a road-improvement project.

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed in Tempe.

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.
