PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 are closed in Williams.

The closure is due to a crash at milepost 156 near Devil Dog Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.

Eastbound lane restrictions scheduled to begin Oct. 6

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on US 70, between Reay Lane (milepost 335.6) and Eighth Street (milepost 340), beginning Monday, Oct. 6, as a new pavement rehabilitation project gets underway in Thatcher and Safford:

The Arizona Department of Transportation will hold a virtual public meeting Oct. 21 to share design plans for the planned expansion of State Route 24 from Loop 202 to Ironwood Drive. The project will widen State Route 24 between Loop 202 and Ironwood Drive and convert SR 24 to a fully-access-controlled highway separated from cross traffic.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for alternating daytime lane restrictions on north- and southbound Dove Mountain Boulevard at Moore Road in Marana Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 31, for traffic signal installation as crews continue work on the Dove Mountain Boulevard project.

The following lane restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
