Interstate 17 pavement project between State Route 74 and Anthem Way set to begin

Overnight restrictions begin June 29 at Anthem Way 

The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to start work for a pavement improvement project on Interstate 17 from State Route 74 to Anthem Way.

Initial work will focus on sidewalk modifications and guardrail replacements near interchanges

New project will repave I-40 through Kingman

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 through Kingman to expect lane restrictions beginning Monday, June 7, for a new pavement rehabilitation and roadway improvement project on an 11-mile segment of the highway. The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through the end of the year.

Some people have reported receiving a text message from ADOT demanding payment for an outstanding traffic ticket.  This is a scam.  It has no connection to ADOT and should be ignored.

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

If Congress does not extend the exemption expiration date, owners of alternative fuel vehicles and vehicles with Energy Efficient plates

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight lane restrictions on State Route (SR) 347 for pavement maintenance work.

  • SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions at Mammoth Way (also known as Cement Plant Road) and the Gila River Bridge during the following dates/times:
    • 8 p.m. Friday March 28, to 7 a.m. Saturday, March 29

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah beginning Sunday, June 22.

The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, June 22, through Friday, June 27, for paving:

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed in Tempe.

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists that construction is underway on the US 93 Cane Springs Improvement project located north of Wikieup.

Crews will be working during the next several weeks to clear the work zone in preparation of mobilizing construction equipment to the area. Most of the construction will take place off of US 93 and will have limited impact to motorists
