New highway safety project starting

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on State Route 95 in north Lake Havasu City to expect overnight lane restrictions and brief delays beginning Wednesday, July 9, as a new highway safety improvement project gets under way.

The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through September.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight restrictions in north Phoenix as part of the Interstate 17 pavement project between State Route 74 and Anthem Way:

New project will repave I-40 through Kingman

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 through Kingman to expect lane restrictions beginning Monday, June 7, for a new pavement rehabilitation and roadway improvement project on an 11-mile segment of the highway. The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through the end of the year.

Some people have reported receiving a text message from ADOT demanding payment for an outstanding traffic ticket.  This is a scam.  It has no connection to ADOT and should be ignored.

There is an impending federal change to High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane exemptions. HOV lane usage by alternative fuel vehicles is regulated by 23 U.S.C. 166(b).  This federal law was enacted in 2005 and includes an expiration date of September 30, 2025.

If Congress does not extend the exemption expiration date, owners of alternative fuel vehicles and vehicles with Energy Efficient plates

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers in the Tonopah area to plan for upcoming overnight lane and ramp restrictions on Interstate 10, as well as a local road closure, as work continues on the I-10 Salome Road to Tonopah Pavement Rehabilitation project.

  • Westbound I-10 on- and off ramps at Salome Road (Exit 81) will be closed overnight from 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, to 6 a.m

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Western Arizona Council of Governments and Mohave County, advises motorists to plan for ongoing daytime lane restrictions and brief travel delays on Northern Avenue between Stockton Hill and Castle Rock roads, as work gets underway on a road-improvement project.

PHOENIX – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed in Tempe.

The closure is due to a crash after Broadway Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route. 

There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes are unaffected.

Daytime lane restrictions scheduled on US 60 between Superior and Miami July 28-31
