Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for east- and westbound lane restrictions and temporary driveway closures along State Route 72 in Bouse beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, for paving.

The Arizona Department of Transportation will hold two upcoming public information meetings in Moenkopi and Kykotsmovi to inform residents about the final recommendations to improve State Route 264 through the Hopi and Navajo Tribal lands.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for continuing daytime lane restrictions on State Route 289 (Ruby Road) from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Jan. 31 as a pavement rehabilitation project continues near Peña Blanca Lake. 

The following lane restrictions are scheduled Monday through Friday:

  • Flagging operation in the project area
  • 14-foot vehicle width

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for continuing lane restrictions on State Route 187, between the Interstate 10 and SR 387 junction (milepost 186) and SR 87 (milepost 192), through February 2026 as a pavement rehabilitation project continues on the Gila River Indian Community.

Daytime lane restrictions scheduled to resume Dec. 1

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers there will be no lane restrictions on US 70, between Reay Lane and Eighth Street (mileposts 335.6-340), from Nov. 24-28.
