The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan ahead and expect delays as westbound I-10 will be closed between SR 143 and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, to 4 a.m. Monday

Though it’s no longer open to cars, the Walnut Canyon Bridge near Flagstaff has been standing for 100 years.

  • North- and southbound 35th Avenue will continue to be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, March 20, and again Monday, March 23, through the morning of Thursday, March 26
    • Detour: Drivers may use the east- and westbound frontage roads to travel around the closure.
  • North- and southbound 31st Avenue will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Monday, March 23, and ending Wednesday morning, March 25. 
    • Detour: Drivers may use the east- and westbound frontage roads to travel around the closure.
       
  • The eastbound Loop 101 Beardsley frontage road will be closed during the following times:
    • Between 37th and 35th avenues: from 10 p.m. Sunday, March 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 23 
    • Between 51st and 35th avenues: from 10 p.m. Friday, March 27, to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29 
  • Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes between Loop 101 and Pinnacle Peak Road from 9 p.m. Friday, March 27, to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29.
     

Upcoming restrictions and closures

  • Westbound Loop 101 will be closed between Interstate 17 and 51st Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday, March 27, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 30.  The following ramps also will be closed during this time:
    • The westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street
    • The north- and southbound I-17 ramps to westbound Loop 101
    • Detour: Westbound drivers may consider using Union Hills Drive or Bell Road as alternate routes.
  • The westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Union Hills Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, March 23, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 24.
    • Westbound Loop 202 will be narrowed to two lanes in the area during this time.

Reminder: Ongoing lane closures

  • 75th Avenue will continue to be narrowed to one through lane in each direction between Rose Garden Lane and Arrowhead Clubhouse Drive through April. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using 67th or 83rd avenues to access 75th Avenue via Deer Valley Road or Union Hills Drive.
    • Note: Some left turns will be restricted along 75th Avenue, and sidewalks may be closed intermittently.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 frontage road is reduced to one lane between 37th and 35th avenues through mid-April.
     

LONG-TERM RAMP CLOSURES​​​​​​​

  • The westbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 75th Avenue is closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 9.
    • Detour: Westbound drivers may exit at 67th Avenue and travel north to Deer Valley Road or south to Union Hills Drive to reach their destination. Note: 75th Avenue will have ongoing lane restrictions between Loop 101 and Rose Garden Lane that are expected to end in April.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 67th Avenue is closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 16.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider taking the eastbound frontage road (Beardsley Road) to 59th Avenue to access Loop 101.

Upcoming closures:

  • The eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 59th Avenue will close for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 23.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider exiting at 67th Avenue and using the eastbound frontage road to reach 59th Avenue.

Ongoing closures

  • The eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 67th Avenue is closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11.
    • Detour:  Drivers may consider exiting at 75th Avenue and taking the frontage road (Beardsley Road) to 67th Avenue, or exiting at 59th Avenue.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 51st Avenue is closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using the eastbound frontage road to access Loop 101 at 35th Avenue, or using eastbound on-ramp at 59th Avenue.
  • The eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp at 35th Avenue is closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. 
    • Detour: Drivers may consider exiting at 51st or 27th avenues.
