Arizona news outlets have been busy detailing ADOT projects beginning, continuing and wrapping up in 2025. That's based on news releases we shared about the year ahead for the Phoenix area, southern Arizona and the Tucson area, and northern Arizona

To wrap it up, this episode of On the Road With ADOT features our resident expert on projects: Greg Byres, State Engineer and Deputy Director for Transportation.

Greg talks with our host, Doug Nintzel, about the anticipated completion of the I-17 Improvement Project and I-10 Broadway Curve Project during 2025, and our continuing project to widen I-10 to three lanes in each direction south of the Valley. We also have continuing improvements to Loop 101 in the north/northwest Valley and north Scottsdale, and a continuing Loop 202 Santan Freeway widening project, as well as projects getting underway in the West Valley later this year to extend Loop 303 south and upgrade the Interstate 10/Loop 101 interchange.

Beyond the Phoenix area, we'll be completing an I-10 widening project on the northwest side of the Tucson area and starting a major improvement project on I-10 south of downtown Tucson. Northwest of the Valley, we'll continue work on a free-flowing interchange connecting Interstate 40 and US 93 in Kingman and will begin a project upgrading several miles of US 93 to four-lane divided highway between Wikieup and I-40.
