The $3.9 million project removed and replaced the road surface between mileposts 29 and 31, beginning just south of State Route 82. It also installed fog coating, added new pavement markings and signage, replaced guardrails and upgraded drainage.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is nearing completion on a project to widen and reconstruct Interstate 10 from Ina to Ruthrauff roads in the northwest Tucson area, with all parts of the project expected to open to traffic by mid-May.

The pavement rehabilitation project, which began last August, milled and replaced the existing pavement with new pavement between mileposts 20 and 30. In addition to new guardrails and end terminals, crews installed new fencing, signage and pavement markings, among other upgrades. 

Work to improve the pavement surface along a 5-mile stretch of Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road in north Scottsdale is scheduled to begin Wednesday night, April 29. Learn more here.

Grand Canyon National Park Airport, operated by the Arizona Department of Transportation, has been named state Airport of the Year for 2026 following a complex runway renovation that enhanced operational reliability and safety.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has reached the halfway point on a project to replace the Queen Creek and Waterfall Canyon bridges on US 60 east of the Phoenix area.

A project to rehabilitate the Little Colorado Bridge along State Route 77 in Holbrook is scheduled to begin April 15, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The $7.8 million project began in April 2025 just west of the New Mexico line on I-40. Crews removed the old structure and replaced it with a 223-foot reinforced concrete beam and girder bridge serving the commercial and residential areas around it on the Navajo Nation.
