The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project to repair the pavement on State Route 83 from milepost 31 (Black Oak Drive) to milepost 29 (Lower Elgin Road) in Sonoita.
The Arizona Department of Transportation began a pavement preservation project on State Route 187 on the Gila River Indian Community in October 2025. These improvements include pavement preservation, shoulder widening and adding new turn lanes. These improvements will reduce congestion and improve mobility.
The Arizona Department of Transportation began a project to install High Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signals across State Route 387 (Pinal Avenue) at Viola Street in the city of Casa Grande in January 2026.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a road rehabilitation project along State Route 79 in Pinal County between Florence and Tucson. The purpose of this project is to extend the life of the pavement between mileposts 105 and 110.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is tentatively scheduled to begin a pavement project on State Route 82 from Lake Patagonia Road (milepost 12.3) to milepost 19 near the Town of Patagonia in late summer 2026.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is working on a pavement preservation project, on State Route 85 from Elota Avenue to milepost 60 in Ajo. Construction began in June 2026.
