ADOT has dedicated nearly half a billion dollars to widening and improving US 93 from Wickenburg to Hoover Dam over the last several years. ADOT's long-term vision is to transform this highly traveled route into a four-lane divided highway through the entire 200-mile stretch. The US 93 series of projects is a priority for ADOT and has significantly improved our state highway system to move people, goods and services more efficiently.

Project Cost: $4.3 million

The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a construction project to remove and replace the top riding surface along a 10-mile section of US 93. The pavement project was located between Gunsite Canyon Road and Gray Wash in the community of Wikieup (mileposts 120 to 130).

The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project to make improvements to the Sycamore Creek and Gray Wash bridges on northbound US 93 (mileposts 128-129) south of Wikieup.

US 93, one of Arizona’s Key Commerce Corridors, is the main route connecting Phoenix and Las Vegas, two of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has been systematically improving US 93 between Phoenix and Las Vegas for over 20 years. While US 93 from I-40 (Kingman) to the Nevada state line has been fully improved to a four-lane divided highway, a handful of narrow, two-lane sections remain.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is planning to install centerline rumble strips on US 93 approximately 38 miles northwest of Wickenburg (between mileposts 161-183).

The project will resume in spring/summer 2024 and is scheduled to be completed in late summer/early fall 2024.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is beginning work to remove and replace the existing top layer of pavement along US 93 between Moore Ranch Road and milepost 190 (mileposts 184-190) north of Wickenburg. The purpose of the project is to improve the condition of the pavement and extend its service life.
