ADOT seeks public input on Sonoran Corridor in Pima County

Comment sought on engineering, environmental phase of study

The Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking public input as it begins an engineering and environmental study of the Sonoran Corridor, a proposed freeway in the Tucson region that would connect Interstates 19 and 10, south of Tucson International Airport.

A few closures or lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend (May 30-June 2) for improvement projects along parts of Phoenix-area freeways. Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be closed Saturday between Gilbert and Cooper roads. Learn more here.

Loop 202 East on-ramp at Arizona Avenue to close for two months

Closure allows crews to reconstruct the ramp as part of widening project

The eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) on-ramp at Arizona Avenue in the Chandler area will close for approximately 60 days starting late Wednesday night, May 28. Crews will reconstruct the ramp as part of the freeway widening project in Chandler and Gilbert. Learn more here.

AZ 511 is part of 511, the nationally-designated, three-digit telephone number for traveler information. Information on highway closures and restrictions is available by calling 511, visiting az511.gov or downloading the AZ 511 mobile app. The website and app include routing, travel times, roadwork and views from ADOT's statewide network of highway cameras. AZ 511 is maintained and operated by the Arizona Department of Transportation in cooperation with regional, state and local partners.
